A rename in staging should not be a 2am mystery. On-call should not learn which dashboards go stale by opening five tabs. New hires should not spend three weeks reconstructing a wiki.
Company Brain is the control plane above Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and BI. Metadata only. Agents retrieve from the graph before they speak.
Fig 1. One graph. Chat, dashboards, and packs pull the same objects.
What IT actually runs on it
- Impact on the PR: models, explores, and finance reports named before merge.
- Incidents: paste a cited blast-radius list into Slack in minutes.
- Catalog: owners, freshness, and PII tags travel with the asset.
- Access: humans and agents share the same grants.
The map the analytics engineer uses on Tuesday is the map on-call uses at 2am.
How to land it
Inventory first. If it is not named, it is not in the brain. Then put a contract on the models people actually consume: grain, freshness, owner. Certify one exec path. Write the on-call runbook against that path. Retire unused extracts on purpose.
